Marcia Marcia Brissett-Bailey, BSc, PG Dip (QCG), MA, IPSEA is an educator, Dyslexia advocate, and neurodiversity champion, speaker on intersectionality/dyslexia, and author of 'Black, Brilliant and Dyslexic', a collection of stories and experiences.
She is a WeAreTheCity- Rising Stars100 Winner 2024, Top 50 Influential Neurodivergent Women UK. She has been shortlisted for 2024 on the Shaw Trust Disability Power 100.
A thought leader has been featured in Forbes, as a narrative changer, provoking the representation of Dyslexia and neurodiversity. She was named one of the top 133 women who changed the world in 2023 by Diverse In – the Global Diversity and Inclusion Embassy.
She has always enjoyed, the seeing the world through the lens of camera, capturing imagery of people and nature. Marcia has has the passion for photography, from primary, Using her Cannon Camera, which was gift from her dad. Marcia picked up the camera again and especially during lock down as allowed her to express herself through visual art.
She is the co-author of ‘Pioneering Women Speak: Transformative Leadership on the Rise’, featured in three books, ‘Dyslexia from a Cultural Perspective’, ‘The Bigger Picture Book of Amazing Dyslexics and the Jobs They Do’ and Brilliantly Dyslexic.
