Renowned novelist, teacher, historian and journalist, H.G. Well’s, known for his sci-fi novels such as the famous ‘War of the Worlds’ and 'The Time Machine' would have celebrated his 150th birthday on 21st September 2016. To commemorate this milestone, the ‘Innovate’ broadsheet was designed to inform people on Wells’ innovative thinking which has helped shape and influence modern-day society.

The colour scheme is used to represent the ‘Blue Plaques’. These plaques are installed in a particular location to honour a famous person who has links in that specific area. H.G. Well’s has many of these plaques scattered throughout his hometown of Sussex.
