About me

Alex Forsey b.1970 Munich, Germany I graduated in 1991 with a degree in photography from London College of Printing, now know as London College of Communications. My early years in photography were spent traveling the world whilst assisting various photographers and teaching myself cinematic lighting. This provided me with the opportunity to pursue my own work in documentary photography. Being a storyteller by nature, I focus on finding and creating a narrative in my photographs. The documentary work of Robert Frank, René Burri and Bruce Davidson influence my work as I like the suggestion of a narrative within the picture frame. My images are captured stories that are open for interpretation OR connection between the subject and viewer. The story telling of the cinema has a strong influence on my work and I invite the viewer to find their own narrative within my images.
