Is Protection Necessary?We are surrounded by protection and warning signs on a daily basis, we use layers and layers in order to protect ourselves but at what cost and why? This project explores the question 'Is Protection Necessary?' The giant receipt measure 4.5m x 0.6m and displays the average cost of products we use to protect ourselves. “Speak Up” Graphic Matters 2017Competiton entry into the Graphic Matters Exhibtion “Speak Up” 2017. My Design was chosen as one of the 60 winners out of 2561 entrants. The poster series contradicts the true meaning behind the messages in order to question what protection really means. All three designs combine the idea of humour and protection in order to answer the competition brief and to “Speak Up” about current issues. Produced using Gyclee print order to make the vivid colours stand out.
The Gym BrauntonA newly built gym requested some designs in order to add character to each of the rooms. They wanted to inspire & motivate, so I produced ideas that combined role models and motivational speaking in order to achieve the outcome they required. For the weights room I had different aims, I needed to create a 'shop logo' to display the supplements they sold at the gym and I added humour for the main mural just to boost that extract motivation.
