About me

Becky Bolton and Louise Chappell have been working collaboratively as Good Wives and Warriors since 2007, soon after graduating from the Painting Department at The Glasgow School of Art. They divide their time between designing large-scale installations for fine art settings and undertaking illustrations commissions from a diverse range of companies worldwide, including The BBC, Penguin, Facebook, Absolut , Adidas and Swatch. They have exhibited around the world, including shows in London, Berlin, Paris, Melbourne, Buenos Aires, San Francisco and Sao Paulo.   MYTHOPEDIAOur new book Mythopedia is an encyclopedia of mythical beasts from around the world and their stories. Published by Laurence King and aimed at the 7-11year old market. Text by Anna Claybourne.

  Future SeasTITLE Future Seas PROJECT Collaboration and animations by Felice Limosani MEDIUM Paint on canvas DIMENSIONS 20 x 8m LOCATION Milan Expo 2015, Federalimentare Pavilion DATE July 2015 CONCEPT The theme of this Expo was ‘ Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life’. Our painting was a giantinfographic showing the decrease in world fish stockover the last 100 years. The diverse and abundant variety of ocean life decreases until there are only jellyfish left.
• Botanical SkeletonWe painted the famous Kiehls skeleton with botanicals for a special Kiehls project.

  Soho Farmhouse PaintingWe designed and created a 'colour in' pyramid interactive sculpture for Soho Farmhouse during the week of Frieze Art Fair. All hand painted with beautiful botanics and ready to be coloured by the lucky Soho Farmhouse guest!

  ROCKET and BASIL BERLINTile designs for Rocket and Basil deli run by amazing sisters, Xenia and Sophie. They commissioned us to create a series of paintings that were then fired on to tiles. Each tile told a personal story through ingredients, dishes or their eponymous cats and dogs.
