Zoë McCarthy is a British-Irish creative, with a portfolio of clients including UK Government, Saatchi & Saatchi, Sony Music, Channel 4, and The Telegraph.
As a teenager she was nominated for the BFI Future Film Award, her short films screening at festivals worldwide including Palm Springs, British Shorts Berlin and London Short Film Festival. She attended the BFI Film Academy and later 'The Network', Edinburgh Television Festival's prestigious talent scheme during this time. In 2019, Zoë was selected as a BAFTA Guru Pro, one of 50 emerging filmmakers in the UK, and announced 'One to Watch' by filmmaking platform Hiive.
Since 2020, Zoë has brought her creative expertise to government, responsible for raising awareness of major coronavirus campaigns and leading digital for high-profile national moments including the G7 Summit.

Working with the features department at The Telegraph, I was responsible for shooting and editing a range of short form online content across the Telegraph’s social media. Over the course of 3 months I worked on many of their leading features, including ‘Unlikely Brexiteers’, ‘Two Weeks in May’ on Victoria Pendleton and Ben Fogle’s Everest climb, and the Stella Magazine BTS with 3 established beauty influencers.
This involved:
o Creating engaging, shareable edits for different platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and the Telegraph website
o Setting up shoots, operating camera and interviewing high-profile talent
o Responding to feedback from the head of features, the commercial team and clients
o Delivering edits to tight deadlines
