About me

I’m an aspiring weave designer, completed my degree in Textile Design at Hereford College of Arts. I have already gained a lot of technical skills and knowledge of materials and processes. Particularly in weaving, where I’ve worked with 4, 8, 16 and 24 shaft looms as well as the extra warp, double cloth and block draft weave structures. I have used computerised looms with digital software Weavepoint. I’m confident with the stencil, UV screen and digital printing and I’m enthused by other constructed textiles such as stitch or knit as well.

  Naturally texturedBespoke collection of lightweight yet textured woven textiles. Naturally dyed yarns have been twisted and looped to create lavish surfaces. Slub cotton yarn adds character to the fabrics and creates an organic pattern.

  Woven WasteCreating a sustainable approach to using leather trims from vehicle workshops. I explored how wrong or accidental cuts can be utilised in production through stitching the trims and hand-weaving the offcuts. The stitching was inspired by car elements for extra detail and bespoke design.

  Unravelled FashionMy collection is a representation, in textile form, of refreshing, wild landscapes experienced on holiday. I find myself taking snapshots of nature every time I travel, and am particularly drawn to views that seem untouched by humans. For me, these images evoke both a carefree vacation feeling and my concern for the environment. I’m seeking to embody this same combination in my woven samples.
