Question

Death Knocks First:
Two music junkie best mates receive an unexpected visit from the grim reaper, but due to a daylight-saving error they have just about an hour to say goodbye.

This is expenses only as it is a student film with a really low budget of £250 which will go towards set design, props, costumes, travel expenses and food.
If any budget remains it will be split with those involved.
We will provide a copy of the film for showreel purposes.

Shooting in South West London (SW15) it it will be a 4-day shoot between 15th – 28th February 2022 depending on actors/crew availability. 
We will need the actors to be available on the 30th November 2021 for a test shoot.
 
We are looking for people who are willing and able to be a part of this project long term. 
We want to build the characters and actions with the actors through regular improvisation workshops and rehearsals from now up until the shoot in February.

Roles:

AJ, (Lead)
Male, mid 20s, any ethnicity. Blacked out outfit, beanie and t-shirt with "Death Knocks" logo and shitty tattoos. Emo/punk. Guitar and singing skills needed.

AJ is an extroverted individual who uses comedy to deflect with dealing with emotions and any difficulty. 
He struggles to open up to people because nobody has ever really listened to him. Mark, his best mate, flatmate and bandmate is the exception.

Death has come to take him. In his last hour he avoids calling his parents despite Mark insisting he does.

Mark, (Supporting Lead)
Male, mid 20s, any ethnicity. Backwards cap and plaid shirt, shit tattoos, listens to emo/punk/hardcore. Bass and singing skills needed.
Mark is introverted and sometimes self-absorbed. 
Because of his upbringing, he is used to communicating his feelings and being honest but doesn’t always pick up on other people’s feelings. 
He speaks his mind openly and faces problems head on. 
AJ is his safe space away from home.

When  Death arrives Mark’s first thought is to call his parents and insists that AJ does the same in his remaining time.

Death, (Supporting)
Woman, 50s, any ethnicity.

Death is outgoing and really wants to be liked by humans. 
She is lovely and generous but is super clumsy/forgetful and extremely bad at her job. 
	
Death forgot to put her clock back and arrives an hour early to take Aj.
