  • Think about the things you didn’t like about your last job/company. This will make it feel less like a loss and more like an opportunity to focus on finding a better role/company. When one door closes another one always opens. Hang in there :) you’ll be okay
  • The first thing to know is being laid off isn't personal so don't let any thoughts like that make you anxious.

If you're anxious about the job market, don't be - business is booming in lots of areas so there are lots of jobs around. Get active on here, LinkedIn and any other social platform you're on so people find you easily.

Some more advice in here - hope it helps:

  • Hiring is always slow over summer so if you have any wiggle room due to your redundancy pay take some time (a couple of weeks or a month) off to live slowly and resourcefully. If you can make space to calm any anxieties you’ll take the next job out of hope and not fear ✌️
  • Hi Giu,

I’m Jamil from The Dots! Here are my top tips to help you find work:

    1. Follow your favourite companies so you’re the first to know when they post jobs and call-outs:

    2. Build your network by connecting with people you already know, and people you want to know! (fun fact: 50-80% of jobs are filled through networking):
