  • If you haven't worked on a brand project for drinks yet, then maybe create a self-initiative project for a new drink or a re-brand of an existing product and follow it up with mockups. Maybe create adverts some digital or event experience so it shows that you have really pushed the brand into different areas.
  • D&AD new blood briefs are a great way to get noticed in the world of branding x
  • suggest you build up a portfolio specifically for that avenue. once you have a portfolio of that, it shows how you work how your able to push ideas, explore various potential outcomes etc. some times you just need to make the work you would like to be making and then use that when approaching agencies that specailise in packaging design or go to a specific brand and tailor a cv as well as a portfolio to them to really make yourself stand out. being generic just doesnt go so far any more as there are so many out there that show a rough variety of portfolios but not many that tailor months worth of work for a specific role/brand
  • Find companies who work in that field, and keep banging on their door until you get an opportunity.

Who you know and can establish a relationship with is just as important as what you know.

    Good luck.
  • Do some research about the field you like. Get the idea, and style of their brand. Analyze the branding language. That will help. Another tip is the 3d trademark, which many great drinks manufacturer use. :)
