Are you worried about work being affected by coronavirus?

I'm trying to understand the emotional and economic impact of coronavirus on small businesses, freelancers, etc. Are you seeing an impact on your workload? Let me know. It'll help us develop better support for the self-employed community.

  • Interested to see the outcome of this. Agree with Isabel, I think if cash reserves are not accessible this will be a very tricky time for people.
  • On one hand our Tea & Water agency was designed (even by name) to thrive in a world that isolates and separates. Our teams are always working across and around time zones and borders and all kinds of silly manmade barriers.
On the other hand, marketing is the thing that many businesses cut first. And our artist representation relies on our photographers and directors to actually be somewhere, likely with other humans, likely after traveling there. And that’s not exactly the fashionable thing to do now.
We have seen many projects cancelled already; big ones too. So now is the time for us to regroup and to point out the capabilities that will allow for our clients to do thee same.
It might be wise to now work towards what will be after this all passees. It might be wise to look at strategy and long term plans. Creative ideas do not need to be created in an open office at a party.
Calm down, but don’t kill your network. We (all) have the tools and the capabilities to get through this and emerge stronger. But we all need help and we all need to help.

  • Hi Again,
Being flexible, pragmatic with open minded is going to be crutial merit for ALL of us, perhaps some of us would have to change profession or/and help others to survive. We are going to be very soon in state of war...
  • It is well known, that first will hit into marketing and advertising industry. In time of recession and tragic moments, which are ahead of us. So be aware, because it will significantly decrease demand for design jobs. Definately some increase in web design.
