Calling all sketchers - what are the best materials you use for your sketches/line drawings? Fineliners/markers of all kinds welcome.

I'm looking to finesse my hand drawing, and as an interior designer it's crucial to be able to create evocative hand drawings to communicate the space to a client.

I have, I think, a basic skill in it... but would really appreciate the chance to learn more and get better, and a lot of it is down to materials I think.

Anyone who knows anything about this, whether it's your hobby or a big part of your career, any tips and tricks with the pens/equipment you've found most useful would be so gratefully received!

  • HI! Uni PIN fine line and Bic Crystal for line drawings . Copic Markers , they are expensive but the best for me . You can buy an architect pack that has a good amount of colour to start sketching. Then to finalise the sketch I use Uni White Posca 0.7mm and black Faber Castell pencil for shadows. A good marker paper like canson is very important too. Hope it helps !
