Calling out plagiarism in the Fashion Industry...
It’s not a new issue, nor a particularly vilified one, but, how is the fashion industry immune to the stigma of plagiarism? Case in point, Copenhagen Fashion Week’s SS21 collection by Designers Remix. The key feature of the collection was eco sustainability demonstrated by striking “tent-wear”, however, the concept was a clear copy of emerging British designer and St Martin’s grad, Bradley Sharpe’s collection from June 2020.
How do we defend emerging designers and the creative process against fast fashion and loose morals?
