Freelance Events Manager Needed

With a strategic focus on social, choice, experience, and geography, we’ve managed to achieve continuous, sustainable 6-figure turnover with 126.35% growth year on year, incrementally increase traffic to our partnering venues, delight over 80,000 customers every year, cultivate a community of experience lovers and rapidly expand into areas including London, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Coventry, Sheffield and Leicester.
We have ambitious growth targets to host the BEST events all across the country. To meet these targets, we are expanding our events, marketing team.
The Event Manager will maintain responsibility for:
Managing and overseeing events across the country.
Sell tickets and perform direct marketing activities including flyering.
Building and managing a team of event reps.
Liaising with DJ’s and book agents, negotiating fees that fit within budgets.
Conceptualising and creating new events brands.
Sourcing new venues and liaise with venue managers.
Source new student societies to work with on events.
Working closely with social media managers, videographers, designers and other supporting staff members.
Promoting events using all relevant social media channels.
The ideal candidate will:
Work under own initiative and discover new opportunities (IMPERATIVE)
Knowledge of popular music/culture including Hip-Hop, RnB, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Garage, Bassline & House.
Experience in managing events in the nightlife industry.
Eagar to create and run your own events across the country.
Handle highly pressurised environments.
Must be available to work during events days.
Immediate Tasks:
Creating and promoting your own events (min. one event per month).
Sourcing new venue and building
Sell tickets for all upcoming events (minimum 30-50 per week).
Contact new student societies requesting partnerships.
Promote events using all relevant social media channels.
Targets/Results:
The Events Manager must be able to deliver the following results:
Sell a minimum of 30-50 tickets per week
Sign up a minimum of 3 student union and ticketing platform partnerships
Create and sell out one event per month
Source at least one new venue to accommodate our events
Build 1 What’s App group chat with up to 250 contacts
Exceeding these targets will result in additional renumerated bonuses. Percentage of total event profit offered to all events created.
