  • George Bokhua has some great classes in skill share. More on the practical side than theory but will bump up your skills nicely if you put in the work. 💪

The earlier stuff (older videos) of Will Patterson on YouTube are worth a watch too.

And remember to balance theory and practice. Just Knowing what makes a good logo doesn’t necessarily mean you have the skills to deliver on one. My 2c.
  • A tutorial for a logo doesn’t exist, however a approach/theory for a logo exist through lectures and talks based from the perception of the designer. I say that, a logo is a bespoke design based off a designers design thinking, specifically designed for a brands identity/personaility. Can’t be a logo tutorial that fits all sectors, as each logo/brand has it’s visual “mother tongue” nurtured from it’s cultural uprising.

What is out there is approach to tackling designing a logo through design thinking how it becomes a functional design to a brands visual identity system.

Here are a few reffences, it’s upto the algorithm to suggest more content to from here:

*Make sure to consider font EULA understanding, also even free fonts system fonts can just be as core of a logo than a commerical font with reason. When possible make logos in vector format Illustrator.

    - Learn basics of font design for type modification and font pairing

    - Look at brand guidlines as they give insight to how a logo is to be used how each logo has different variations depending on its use example when the logo is made smaller does that mean you would have to open up the kerning, rasterization when social converts your logo and crops it. When you have to spend time stressing the logo through print and digital.
  • Hi Meysam,

I think Skill Share is a great site for learning new skills. You can also check out Linkedin learning channel on Youtube, I highly recommend watching Aaron Draplin logo design challenge.
