Hello, I've found numerous Digital Marketing courses online. I don't know which are credible. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks, C

  • @kaiya Johnson Hi Kaiya, I hadn’t even thought of The Princes Trust! That sounds great, I think I do need something thorough. Some of the basic courses I already have that knowledge.
  • Hi Colleen, recently I signed up for a digital marketing course hosted by The Prince's trust and WYK which is completely free.

It's quite intensive but very thorough and I've been told that 80% of the courses graduates end up in jobs within the first few months of completion.

They also use google garage and meta as a basis for learning, while doing live projects. If that's something that interests you, please feel free to DM me, I'd be happy to give you more info

  • @Anna Negrini Thank you Anna! Google Digital Garage seems to very popular right now. I am definitely looking at their offering in more detail. :)
  • @John Joachim Thanks John, did it cover what you expected it to cover? Sometimes I find they list a course summary/ outline but it covers a lot of it.
  • @Fab Giovanetti Thank you very much, I will take a look at the links you have posted. Kind regards, Colleen
  • I would always suggest to do your research! When I started Alt Marketing School I worked hard to make sure the certification could be au pair with some other courses out there.

Ultimately, a lot of it comes from the work the organisation has done to support students before, during and after the certification - something we pride ourselves to have created for our students! Here's our curriculum: https://altmarketingschool.com/learn

You can find out more about the next cohort here :) https://the-dots.com/events/positive-impact-marketing-certification-9836
  • Hey @Colleen Perry - I had done this free government funded bootcamp program https://www.upskilldigital.com
On the final week you work on a live project and then they put you across potential employers ( This is not guaranteed job ) but you to have interviews. I got an paid internship and now landed a full time job. Hope this helps
  • @Oscar FM thank you Oscar, I will check out the public schools and see what they are offering. So many free courses, I have done several but some of the content is very basic.
  • @Dinah Williams thank you Dinah that’s great. I hadn’t seen the HubSpot courses on my searches. I will definitely have a look. Yes this is what I’m finding, there are DM courses but some don’t look credible. Research their facilitator is a great Tip!
  • Hi Collen, I've recently taken a few courses on HubSpot - they are free and gave good basic overview and they also have some certifed courses. I enjoyed the Digital Marketing certified course - it was a general overivew and was a bit corporate / cookie cutter but I didn't mind it. A bonus was having the content delivered by current leaders at HubSpot. When I looked at other courses, I couldn't really confirm if the course instructors actually were current in digital marketing. Maybe that's something to check, if you see a course you like the sound of, check the instructors background and revelancy?
  • Trying being useful: all public known online schools give good content. From Coursera, Harvard and so on. Some are free some are not. Maybe checking the free ones and then you will get more knowledge to make a better choice if you wish to invest on it more seriously.
