Hey does anyone know how to get an Idea for a TV series into life? I've been sitting on an idea for a few years.

- @Andrew Demetry Hi Andrew, check out @Tim Sanmi 's advice, you can find a lot of information online.How to deal with your pilot (and the ressources you have for it) and the bible depends very much on the route you take (of the two routes I've mentioned before).If you decide to do it yourself, work with things you know you can get and research things you might not know that you have access to.If you decide to present a the full project to a TV or streaming platform, you have to research how that works in your country, and for different platforms. You might be able to submit your work directly or you might have to go through pitching events or festivals.In any case, do your research and you'll find what works best for you and your project.

- Hi Andrew!There are different ways to approach creating a series depending on which road you want to follow. If you want to put together a project and pitch it to TVs or streaming platform, or you prefer to develop the entire first season and do it on your own as a youtube series for example.For the first one I recommend you to start by putting together a dossier (what's called a bible), the script of the pilot and maybe shoot a teaser or the first episode.For the second option, you'll need to develop the bible too, in order to have a clear idea of your entire project, write the first season and find a way (crowdfunding, grants, etc) to shoot the first season independently and choose a platform to showcase it.There are plenty on online ressources for free and courses online that explain this initial process. I specifically know about one online course at domestika.org and there is also a course with Shonda Rhimes at masterclass.comBest of luck with your project!
