Hi, currently stuck in 9-5, want to pursue a creative career but where I live its not hugely available, any to help get a foot in the door?

  • Hi Jack,

I would recommend two things: one that mentioned before simply try apply remotely, location is not a big issue any more. Also I know it can be hard to start when there are no connections you could start with, that one you can balance out by developing a unique style.
  • Reverse the assumption.

    9–5 implies office-based.

No other local organisation is offering an opening into a creative career.

It appears there are no doors, where you live, to get your foot into.

Look for opportunities beyond the traditional workspace.

Maybe it's more about portals than doors?
