Hi guys! I’m a freelance Video Editor but work is far and few between, so am looking to work for a company. I keep getting rejected.
I think the reason for this is my lack of reel. I don’t have a reel because the work I have previously done doesn’t reflect my abilities (simple jobs), however, I know I can’t do a reel full of stock footage. Can anybody help me as to what my options are regarding this? Video editing is all I want to do. I didn’t go to university, I taught myself, and think I’m not too bad at it. But I just don’t know how to represent myself with no work.

- @Taylor Brooks not personally, I’d suggest joining a few film Facebook groups and offering your services x
- @Shauna Paul do you know of any projects like this? X
- @Shauna Paul thank you so much!! Xx
- Spend a few months offering editing work free of charge and edit low budget and student films etc. do this until you have some credits and enough work to have an editing reel x
