Hi guys! I've just updated my portfolio website and could do with some feedback. https://www.tomrogersdesign.com/

  • Hey Tom, Really nice site and work you have here, thanks for sharing.

I agree with Amy, that the about page just needs a new layout. Also rather than usiing custom icons for the software you are fluent in, I would just have them written out as you do with your other details.

Cintact page also just needs some tweaking on layout, maybe the description should be above the contact form and then the form goes underneath? As this text is telling people how to get in contact / what this page is about, so that should be before the form, and not the other way around.

Your home page is great, but the first 2 projects just happen to be yellow? I would actually swap in your G.I Acturarial branding project so that you can split these up as it can become confusing if these are the same project, and having that stark difference will make things clearer.

Lastly the footer, all is good but the text inside is closer to the bottom than the top, just make sure you have it dead centre otherwise it can look like a mistake.

    Hope this helps.
  • @Amy Chiniara Hi Amy, thank you so much. Yes this helps a lot. Thanks for being so detailed!
  • Hi Tom :)
It looks nice, great images and the presentation of each project is very nice and clear and high-res.
    Here are my comments:
About page: The text box is too close to the applications, while the education column is too far off to the right. I suggest you move education and applications to the right, and place them above each other and move the text to the left.
On the contact page, the two columns aren't aligned, but because it's a simple text with a call to action, I would suggest moving and placing it above the boxes and widening so it's as big as the margins of the contact fields.
For the work, in the projects pages, in some cases (like the first text box), the text is aligned with the photos, and in others it goes beyond the margins of the photos. So personally I would advise they're all aligned the same way, preferably within the same margins as the photos so that they're all nicely aligned.
Last thing: the footer on the work page is too close to the projects boxes--if you can create a bit of breathing room between them I think that would be better.
    Hope this helps :)
    Cheers
