Hi world – I'm just starting up as a freelance designer & I'd love some feedback on my work while I'm re-designing the site!

Would be great to know what projects draw your eye, what content you think is missing.

  • Great portfolio! Really enjoyed looking through your work and even from the first impressions on the homepage, your work seems quite diverse - individual projects combined with logo and letters sections - which for me provided more insights into your thinking seeing all the logos in one place and also the lettering to get a sense of your style. Proper British Beer definitely stood out and think you should move it up! It's very playful and catches the British spirit. Also liked the Eat Like a Saint project, the execution is on point! Made me chuckle :) Hope this helps!
  • @Kirsty Ho Thanks for the help, and the kind words!

RE: Personal work, I'm showing more of it on Dribble and on Instagram, but hoping to find a home for it soon :-) https://dribbble.com/rebecca-duncan

Really interesting to see the projects you liked too, both university briefs, some of my favourites!

  • Hey Rebecca! Just looked through your site and it's extremely impressive and well presented :) the two projects that personally stood out to me the most are:
    - Pamper the People: you capture the story and motive well in your short descriptions and make fair comparisons to existing product brands. The photographs are presented neutrally and the screen printed designs really do reflect actual protesting signs (which almost adds a touch of humour because the aggressive approach is being applied to something we associated to be quite gentle and delicate).
    - Proper British Beer: even though I don't even drink, but I like that the focus of the brand is on the 'britishness' of the drinking culture here - makes it funny to read about.

Would you consider featuring any personal work? Such as things you are developing, practising, currently in progress (not specifically aimed towards a client/brief).

    Super duper stuff :)
  • @Emma L Thanks so much for your feedback Emma! I'll make sure to feature those projects, they are two of my favourites!
