    Hey Leah,

I have a BA in fashion and textiles specialising in print design. I miss being creative and need to do more personal projects to post on here.

Hey, thank you for all for your advice I will Definitely look to put more job alerts on. I am currently looking in to work experience in the design team at my current job as well.

Hoping I can climb the ladder here if I can not find jobs else were.
  • Hey Amari,

I know it’s hard so I feel your pain (and annoyance)! It is difficult to avoid the whole internship to job process in fashion. But if I was you- I’d set up job alerts for all the brands I want to work at and follow them all on here or LinkedIn to keep up to date. (Junior roles are posted on there). I’d try and network or work on building connections with some of the people already working at the brands you want to work at. I would come up with some relevant ideas for them and just pitch (can be risky but also worth a try) or you could contact to look for freelance opportunities until there’s a role available- cos saw you specialise in print? And there’s definitely print or textile companies that work with all the brands that you probably already have enough experience to get a job at. Also- if you’ve worked in fashion retail maybe try and talk to the head office and design teams through there somehow as well. And lastly - maybe have a look at your university and the alumni- ask tutors and people who did your course for help and advice, connections ectr via them too. Recruiters are also an option….
  • Hey! Hope you’re good… unpaid internships are v frustrating I know! Do you have any educational/professional experience in design or textiles at all??
