How do you get comfortable with discomfort?

Getting used to this feeling of being uncomfortable isn’t easy.

2 weeks ago I was on the train back from [World Chase Tag](https://www.instagram.com/worldchasetag/) Event.

Seb had asked me to be there to film some behind-the-scenes of him coaching the French team.

Catch the magic between the main events.

Before I began the journey to East London, I toyed with the idea of coming up with some elaborate story as to why I couldn’t make it.

But I’ve come across this idea and feeling before.

The nerves of the unknown.

Stepping into a new medium of working and being in a completely new environment around people I don’t know.

Everything is telling me to stay comfortable and just find a way out of my previous agreement and watch Netflix at home.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

But the last time I had this feeling and didn’t follow through all that followed was regret.

The feeling I’d missed out on a new experience.

This time I stopped my brain in its tracks and realized I’ve felt this before.

The unease. The fear of what I can’t control.

It made me think that if a new venture I am considering fills me with discomfort and uncertainty, to an extent, then it’s probably the right way to go.

It isn’t easy but the more I notice this feeling and ignore it the better I am getting at navigating the unknown and new experiences.

I can only thank past me for sticking to it.

It wasn’t even as daunting as my mind played it to be, and I was able to reconnect with people I hadn’t seen in years and get into a new world of work.

Take the risk and go into the uncertain.

It’s the only way I’ve found to grow.
