How do you start as a Cinematographer on a clean slate? I want to create a new portfolio of work as my old work doesn’t represent me anymore
It feels impossible to get creative work without a portfolio yet I am no longer proud of my old work and would like to start clean. I want to have a new range of work to show case. Is it possible to get work without a portfolio??

- i think the best thing to do is to shoot for spec projects that represents the kind of work you wan't to be known/hired for.
- May sound obvious but basically just shoot as much new stuff as possible as soon as possible. I had a similar fresh start years ago and had to use my old stuff to get new stuff but slowly removed old stuff from my portfolio as new, better work was completed. I also did a few personal projects rather than wait for paid jobs and that actually got me loads of paid work because I had relevant portfolio work to show. Good luck 👍📸
