I am a creative English Graduate desperately in need of a job starting ASAP. Do you know anyone who is hiring?
This year has been tough, I nearly lost my father to COVID and lost a job I was supposed to start in March. I am looking to work in the marketing, publishing, editorial or creative industries. I have sent 150+ applications since May, I have re-worked my CV, taken mentoring, adapted my cover letter and tailored everything to every job I apply for. I have been shortlisted but unsuccessful so far, the majority of roles haven't even responded with a rejection. I know this is the way of life so I'm accepting the fact that it's tough but I need some help.
I have 3 years experience in digital marketing, 2 years experience in editing/proof-reading/writing and 2 years experience in administrative/social media corporate tasks. I am a hard-worker and a fast-learner, if you know anyone who is hiring or are just willing to offer some friendly advice please do! It's incredibly disheartening because I can see no light at the end of the tunnel.
