I am a London based Portrait Photographer reaching out to the community to review my online portfolio. Thank you in advance!

Basically, I’ve rebranded my site and wanted feedback from the awesome community. Feel free to throw suggestions/criticism (positive or negative) as this is great for growth. I will evaluate the suggestions and apply the gold nuggets for my personal development.

My website is:
www.boydvisuals.com

Please understand that this is still a work-in-progress.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you; your wisdom will be valued.

Best,
Darren.

  • @Richard Cannon thank you so much! Great suggestions. I will certainly take every point onboard.

Stay safe, and I hope our paths will cross in the near future. Feel free to keep in touch.

  • Maybe instead of the word location you should rename the gallery. i would leave out the images from Studio altogether as it detracts from the other work. You could, once you have more work where it has been published, a gallery that is called 'tearsheets'
  • @Richard Cannon An honour to have your response. Thank you so much, your comments are gold nuggets.

I agree and have been contemplating the presets page for some time. The thing is, a company approached me on IG about selling presets on their behalf. However, it doesn't need to be on my website, and I would rather sell my own if necessary. I can continue to promote their presets on IG until I have mine up and ready.

Regarding the studio pages, this is a WIP but understand. After thinking about what you said, I will remove until the individual galleries are completed. Do you think I should combine the location with the studio on one page? Would this make sense to stylise the content?

    Thank you for your time.

    Kind regards
    Darren.
  • Great work. I get your style straight away. retouching looks good. like to see more content when you click on the individual person ( at least 5 images). No need for the Studio gallery as there are only 2 images in there. 'Presets' Not sure if you are a retoucher or photographer? those 2 identities should be kept in seperate websites.
