I am curious if anyone at The Dots is a fine artist and if there are opportunities to show artwork, sell to buyers, find commissions, etc.

I am a post-modern ecological visual artist and beauty hunter representing the wild, messy, and misunderstood natural spaces and ecosystems in context with our changing climate. I believed that when people are introduced to flora and fauna they don’t know yet, their curiosity is sparked. From there they may come to love these wild spaces as much as I do. We protect what we love.

My work is on paper; my mediums are watercolor, graphite pencil, and archival ink. I also work in book arts and printmaking. With each piece I create, I write stories to accompany it thereby giving the viewer an in-depth understanding of the work.

Below is a piece I call River Divination No. 1: The Mississippi River Shore Line. We have songs, stories, and indeed culture wrapped around our many waterways, the Mississippi River in particular. Acting as a shaman, I’m looking for patterns and arrangements of organic materials scattered without human intervention. We tell stories about the river but what is the river trying to tell us?
