I'm putting together a reading list for 2023. What was the one book that changed your life?

- @Jithendra Bulathsinhala I'm also a big fan of "When the Body Says No" by Gabor Maté in a similar vein to this 🙏🏼
- Working Identity by Herminia Ibarra, which documents here research into people that have made radical shifts in their careers. She identifies common factors that emerge from talking to them which can be applied to anyone considering how to start such a process themself.Broadly there are two categories:- Network, which involves forging a new network, but also to an extent detaching from your identity connected to old networks;- Experiments, essentially doing things at a manageable scale which expose you to what it might be like to follow a new direction. When I was finding my way into self-employment about nine years ago, I found these a useful way of developing practical steps I could take to explore and eventually assume a new working identity.
- The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk, a book that everyone should read. Not a light read but a thorough explanation on the lasting effects of trauma on the body and interpersonal relationships. Game changer.
