- Hi CarrieUsing something like QuickBooks is really useful. It allows you to do all your invoicing, cash flow forecasting and automatically chases on your behalf. It also gives you loads of reporting options. At the moment I think it’s on a deal at 90% off or something ridiculous for 3 months.Definitely worth trying and seeing if it fits your needs.Stay Boom!
- @Katt Webster me too, they make it so easy for the recipient to pay you well. I’m really happy with the product.
- If you want to send an invoice by manually by email to the client for them to process, you can simply do it on a word document. You just need the date and a reference, your business name & address, VAT details (if registered) and bank account details, the project/deliverables/period covered and amount +/- VAT and also the clients name/address (i.e. recipient details)If you want to automate, try Quickboots or Xero, both are accountancy software that allows you to invoice clients and then process expenses, and do VAT submissions etc
- Hi Carrie,You could purchase an invoice template from a site like creative market, but if you would prefere a finance system to keep on top of your day to day bookkeeping and filing your accounts ( with minimal support from accountants like myself) I would recommend:- https://www.freeagent.com/- https://www.sage.com/or- https://quickbooks.intuit.com/ukI'm an accountant so feel free to ask me questions if you need any some advice. All the best,Tayo
- I use Anna, very quick and simple to invoice and provides you with a free business account!
- I used XOLO for a while. It has a great interface and is easy to use. Although they may only deal in Euros. Good luck!
- I use PayPal, it's great for international clients as well as UK ones.
