I've been commissioned to compose theme tunes over the past couple weeks. Check out my portfolio here: https://soundcloud.

Theme Tune Music, this can be a fun or stressful aspect of producing your podcast. Also something that can take it to a professional or amateur standard. Remember that most of your listener, are not over analysing each podcast you release… but something as glaringly obvious as the theme tune. It’s something they will HAVE to acknowledge, so it’s important you get this right.

Theme tunes can also be something that defines your brand, for instance: if your podcast is based on mental health and well being, it doesn’t make sense to use a death metal track. And if your podcast is based on your frustration with society, a soft piano track is probably not your best bet.

Lastly, the free to use music. I’d understand why someone would pursue this avenue. There is the obvious reason of the fact that it is free. BUT, how many other podcasts in your network alone will be using the same track? How many YouTube channels will also be using the same music? The point is, your podcast won’t come across as unique to the listener, if they have heard it before and can reference the track to something else.

Dm me or contact me via ell.mckay.podcastediting@gmail.com for commissions with any genre or reference tracks in mind… to take your podcast to the next level!
