  • Hi Renuka,

It looks like you've got some really great feedback from Kane and Andrea, and I'll just add a couple of notes.

I do agree with Andrea about the homepage. Maybe you could use the wider image in another place as a banner or at least give things more breathing room.

And as Kane suggested, you need some consistency throughout. Your header goes wider than the main content or footer, and the blue icons attract too much attention.

In the footer, the whole instagram icon isn't clickable, and your terms and conditions for the checkbox aren't linked. Essentially, asking people to blindly accept your terms without knowing them.

I would add a little space below the copyright just so it's not sitting so close to the bottom of the window.

Lastly, the page isn't fully responsive, so when I bring my browser width in, content gets cut off and I have to scroll horizontally. On mobile, I would make the logo smaller so that the entire header can sit in one line. Right now, it goes header, instagram and cart, and the hamburger over three lines.

I really like your style and am excited to see your journey.
  • @Renuka Ramanujam you are most welcome and I am excited to see the changes; such a lovely idea and very nice concept, beautiful artwork as well.
  • Hello Renuka, Thanks so much for sharing. You have a solid start here and a great unique style that really fits with the brand you are creating. I agree with some of Andreas points, mainly the image at the top of the home page. Whilst it is a lovely image, I actually think a brief 2 line description of what Studio Mudra is would be super beneficial instead, as at the moment you need to go to About to find that out. That would immediately let users know what this site is about. A couple of small things, like on the contact page, just mad sure your form is centred like the rest of your site as at the moment it is to the left. Also, I would make the text of the selected page a bold weight of the typeface as at the moment it is not very clear where you are on the navigation. Lastly, like your unique hand icon, I would try and match the other icons on your top navigation to that style so you have that cohesive brand running throughout the whole site. They are currently a bit distracting as they are blue and not in the same style. Hope this is helpful and congrats on launching the site. Many thanks
  • Hello Renuka, I love the colour choices and the images of the artwork are beautiful too. Your brand looks very unique and authentic, eveything seems to be aligned with your concept.

Have you tried to see how the home page would look like if you removed the image of the arm and herbs and spices? It is a nice image but with all the other visuals and text, this page looks a bit crowded to me.

It might be worth to try the other way around as well: remove the other images and have just the one large photo as a nice welcome feature.
It is an interesting image that would engage the user immediately and then the other images could be revealed when they click on the various page titles in the menu.

This way, the user can have a break of the various visual information and focus their attention on the textual content and engage with your brand more, even deciding to make a purchase.
