- There is no easy way, with so much competition it's all about who has the better marketing plan within their business plan.For example knowing what you want to sell and to whom, are you niche or are you a general photographer, have you identified your market and how well have you segmented it, is your marketing appoach direct or indirect, do you have an audience if you are looking at an indirect marketing plan or, how good is your data base if you are going for a direct marketing strategy. These are the building blocks for any business and you need to be good at them - photography is what you are selling and whilst that may influence the marketing tactics you use it does not make much difference to the higher level fundamentals.Whilst this is a quick marketing 101 not a comprehensive list of what you need to do, but it is where you need to start.Note well pricing your services well below others (ie being cheap) is not a marketing strategy it's a suicide note to your cash flow in the near future.
