Looking for talented designers to create unique tablecloth designs for Yousi’s debut collection. Paid, collaborative project!
Yousi Design Opportunity: Call for Talented Artists
We’re looking for two talented designers to collaborate on Yousi’s debut tablecloth collection!
About Yousi:
Yousi is inspired by food, culture, and social connection. Our mission is to celebrate heritage through high-quality, approachable luxury tableware. We create designs that evoke sensory memories and the warmth of gatherings.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking two creative designers to craft visually striking tablecloth designs that capture the essence of Australian summer gatherings. Each design should clearly convey the theme and feel instantly recognizable.
1. Summer BBQ:
Imagine a hot summer day – backyard BBQs with family and friends. The smell of chargrilled meats, food sizzling, and cold drinks from an esky. Think skewers with marinated lamb or chicken, sausages on buttered white bread with onions (like Bunnings), steaks on the grill. The sounds of sport, a ball being passed around, laughter, and the sun lowering in the sky. Casual, spirited, and full of life – the quintessential Aussie BBQ. Colors should be vibrant and festive.
2. Summer Seafood Feast:
Picture a long lunch by the beach or pool – fresh prawns, seafood sauce, lobster rolls, and oysters with lemon. Think of grilled fish with crisp salads, sashimi on ice, garlic butter scallops, and crispy fish and chips. Relaxed, coastal, and nostalgic – evoking the freshness of Australian seafood culture. Use bright, beachy colors and light, textured elements.
Your Artwork Should:
-Instantly convey the chosen theme.
-Use colors and styles that reflect the ingredients and elements.
-Be original and distinctive, avoiding design infringements.
Our Approach:
-Selection based on portfolio and creative style.
-Chosen designers will receive a detailed brief and join a one-on-one call before starting.
-Two rounds of revisions to ensure alignment with our vision.
Intellectual Property & Deliverables:
-Yousi will own full commercial rights to the final designs.
-Designers must provide high-res vector files (AI, EPS, SVG).
-Designs may be used across Yousi’s products and marketing materials.
-Designers will be credited in the product launch.
Timeline:
-Selection and Call: Within 3 days of selection.
-First Draft Submission: 2 weeks after the call.
-Feedback and Revision: Feedback within 3 days, revision within 1 week.
-Final Submission: 1 week after second feedback.
-Total: Approx. 4-5 weeks from selection to final design.
What You’ll Receive:
-Paid Commission: $1000 AUD per design.
-Initial Payment (Stipend for Call): $200 - Paid after the call.
-First Draft Submission: $400 - Paid upon draft completion.
-Final Submission (After Revisions): $400 - Paid after final approval.
-Creative Freedom: Unique, inspired interpretations that align with the theme.
-Credit: Your name featured in the launch capsule.
How to Apply:
-Submit your portfolio link.
-Include a brief statement noting your preferred theme and why your style suits it.
-We’ll shortlist and arrange a call with the selected designers.
Deadline: Friday 16th May
Judging Panel:
Our co-founders Erin and Matthew, and our consulting team will evaluate submissions based on creativity, theme alignment, and quality.
Why Work with Yousi:
We value creative collaboration and respect artistic input. We aim to build lasting relationships with talented designers. This project is a chance to be part of a unique launch celebrating Australian summer and social connection.

- Hey, there!I’m Lulu Avalloni, a passionate illustrator and visual artist from Brasil. It’s a pleasure to invite you into a glimpse of my creative universe. For the past 8 years — 5 of them deeply immersed in the web3 space — I’ve been exploring the power of illustration as a tool for visual storytelling, branding, and cultural connection. My work moves between digital and print media, always with the goal of creating visuals that resonate emotionally and communicate clearly. My mission is to expand the role of illustration in visual communication. Art has the power to translate complex messages into feelings — and that’s what brands truly need. Trust, empathy, joy, and attention are human emotions, and humans connect through culture. Everything we see shapes how we feel and engage with the world. That’s why illustration and design should be at the core of any meaningful brand experience.I create surreal, nostalgic, and emotionally charged visuals designed to spark real connection and lasting impact. If you’re looking for unique artwork that speaks directly to the soul of your message, I’d love to collaborate. Here’s my full portfolio and contact info for future projects:behance.net/lulu_avalloniCheers!

- Hey @Matthew Abi-Arrage this sounds like a really interesting brief and I'm super interested. However, given the budget for this project, I'm not sure it is of equal value to having full commercial rights to the work. If this is something that is negotiable, I'd love to put myself forward for the project :)You can find my illustration portfolio here https://www.instagram.com/chloenormanillustration/My visual style would be a great fit - the blend of hand-drawn, earthy lines with digital elements helps to bring a personal, lived-in feel to the work. I love how hand-drawn illustration embraces the ‘happy mistakes’ that reflect the warmth and imperfection of real human experiences - much like enjoying a Summer BBQ in the sunshine or a Summer Seafood Feast by the beach. Food is a huge part of my life too; I often sketch on location in restaurants, beaches or when surrounded by friends and family, and I think that emotional resonance comes through in my work.If you're after something less artisanal or more brand-focused, you can view my design portfolio here: www.chloenormandesign.comchloenormanillustration@gmail.com
