  • @Original Magazine as an Illustration student who is graduating in July, I’m finding it so hard to get access to studios that have the facilities for my specialties such as printmaking, I have been able to do more collaborative projects just by staying in contact with peers and creating new contacts and starting conversations. I think it’s just a shame that I lost a year and a half of access to studios due to covid.
  • @Farzana Khatun & @Andrea Pérez it was such a shame you had to experience Uni through Covid. Have you been able to make up for the lack of collaborative projects, faciltiies since graduating? Or are these things difficult to build upon once you are away from the University environment and working as a freelancer in the industry?
  • @Siana Bezuhanova thanks for your response! This has been one of the most popular replies especially via our IG stories.

  • I would have chosen to start a year later! I started at a time where I was restricted by COVID and meant that I couldn’t hone my skills from the very beginning.

I did. use any chance or opportunity i had after restrictions lifted but I missed out on time in studios and social spaces which could have helped me with transferable skills.
  • @Siana Bezuhanova same! I went to Salford and they amazing facilities…
However the training would take time and they had veeery limited capabilities
