There’s no shortage of advice for freelancers - do this, don’t do that. So what works? Well...
Everything has probably worked for someone else.
That's why everyone has a view, and shares it.
But it doesn’t mean it works for you.
So the absolute best advice isn’t advice at all - it’s to just try it.
Trial and error. Fail fast. Learn what works for you by finding out what doesn’t.
The best part is, it builds conviction. Once you understand why something doesn’t work for you, you can discard it and double down on something else.
Focus on understanding who your client is and what you offer them, after that…
…make it up as you go along.
Just like everyone else.
PS - the only piece of advice I would give is to never, ever compare your progress to anyone else’s. Ever.

- @Louisa // SOLA it can be so confusing for people to know what to do when all the advice is conflicting - always better to rule out based on what doing it for yourself!
- 💯 this - not attaching your success to one particular method/path/strategy, but instead becoming the person who is willing to try it all
