We'd love to hear what's been your positive experience of lockdown?

Hello, The Dots awesome community!

Lizzy and I, co-founded We Are Powerful Creators at the beginning of lockdown, and have found this time and experience to be super creative.

We'd love to hear what your positive experiences have been over the last five months?

  • @Ionut Cirja Sorry to hear that its not so nice now - I hope it gets better for you. Take care.
  • @Nic Pearce That's awesome, love that this was a liberating experience! Thanks so much for sharing.
  • Having the tome to be creative just for the sake of it was a really liberating experience and it reignited my passion for drawing
  • @Tom Simmons yes! Freedom and autonomy- that’s brilliant. And spending more time with your dogs, lovely stuff. Thanks so much for sharing.
  • @Sally Hattrell thank you so much for sharing your experience. I can’t even imagine how it’s been for you, but can feel the sheer relief and positive impact in your message. It’s wonderful to hear :)
  • More time with the doggos!

Remote working also offers so much more flexibility. You work on a basis of trust that you will deliver on set goals, but you're not confined to a 9-5 and can work to the hours when you're the most productive.
  • Positive experience? Well, I think I've got a good one. Although it may not seem as positive as many in the feed.
During lockdown I got diagnosed with ADHD and started getting help and medicated for this.
Now I can pin down what's 'wrong' with me and how to work with it, instead of getting frustrated that things just weren't going my way. I feel freer now. And, honestly, it's the best thing to ever happen to me. Even if I am grieving a life I could have had if it was caught much earlier.
  • @Ruth Park that’s wonderful to hear! Cherished time with family is magic. Congratulations on starting your freelance venture. Thanks so much for sharing.
  • Being able to start my freelancing career and stay at home with my amazing hubby and daughter. - nothing can beat that.
  • @Bruna Carretas thanks so much for sharing what you learnt from quarantine. Very interesting to your experience.
  • Having been 1 month totally isolated I re-learned social interaction. I used to only interact with my family and the first time I was with a group of friends my brain would feel tired and not as outgoing as I used to be. This was a very interesting task to learn from the quarantine.
  • I rather enjoy receiving having so much of my shopping delivered. Am I the only one who likes to get a parcel in the post?
  • @Cemi Ozel nice one! That’s great to hear :) Thanks so much for sharing.
  • @Nic Pearce that’s absolutely magic! Lovely to hear that you’ve reconnected with your passions, and also had more time with your dog :) Thanks so much for sharing.
  • @Raafaye Ali that’s great to hear. Excellent that you are listening to audiobooks while you draw :) Thanks so much for sharing.
  • @Leanne Spencer yass! This is awesome. Thanks so much for sharing.
  • I finally put my hand to designing a music video based on a new favourite song and a set of still, graphics I made in photoshop. It's probably one of my favourite things I've made to date
  • I’ve been able to listen to far mor audiobooks while I draw which isn’t possible when working around other people. Feel I’ve been trusted more woth my skillset
  • Lockdown has rekindled my passion for drawing plus I have had time to do clay modelling and Lino cut printing! Plus I have spent more time with my dog!
  • @Harpreet Ahadi lovely :) Great to hear three really positive outcomes. Thanks so much for sharing.
