  • Currently - finding a routine that works for me, but not being hard on myself if I don't stick to it rigidly!
  • I've been sticking to my morning routine by setting my alarm and getting outdoors in the morning to do a run or a free IGTV Psycle Class. Some fresh air in the morning helps to keep me feeling energised for the day.
  • Separating what I could be doing from what I need to be doing. Also separating time. I've never worked a 9-5-5 work schedule because life operates on much bigger level than that (130 hours more to be precise), however, being able to separate spaces of time so that 9-5 and 5-9 don't seamlessly become one fluid, never-ending loop has meant I can stay focused and doing the things that will make a difference.
  • What an important question!

I've actually just made an eBook for some colleagues.
It's an introduction to some Self-Care techniques, made especially for self-care Newbies.

Lots of fun, words of support and fresh ideas. I'm happy to send it to whoever would like to take a look. Just PM me your email if interested!

We have to stick together =)
    Stay safe and sane,
  • Creating some sort of routine to follow, as well as setting time aside to relax and focus on myself.
  • @Kid Circus I agree. Never take life granted. Even being in this situation made me realised more of what I can improve on that I wouldn’t have known before this.
  • Planing my day, Looking after my hair and beard. Making sure that i am well Spritually and mentally and also, taking time for myslef to chill and relax.
  • Returning to things that I'm passionate about that aren't necessarily monetary connected (yet! haha). Things like writing in particular. I'm writing a lot and it's helped me reconnect with my soul and emotions a lot more.
  • Agree with all of the points made already. I'd just add communicating regularly with the people you love that you may not be able to physically spend time with. A good chat and a laugh with a friend, albeit via facetime, Skype etc can do wonders for your mental wellbeing.
  • Being kind to myself. It's easy to feel guilty for not being productive enough as well as being too busy, so I find it important to be mindful about feeling well and just being.
  • During this time especially, self care is doing the least harm to yourself. It doesn’t have to be just face-masks and exercising. Sometimes it’s sleeping, playing video games, or eating what makes you happy. Self care is not punishing yourself.
  • Being mindful of your your mental (emotional) and physical health and well being.

I start the day with a full glass of water to flush and at the same time kick start my metabolism /f ollowed by a spoonful of honey to replenish blood sugar / chant a sutra to sharpen my focus and concentration /short meditation / exercise and breakfast /work: housework, writing /shopping and errands / rest / relax and read or watch a movie.
