- For 2TB I Recommend Seagate FireCuda (2TB) it's oriented to gaming this mean it's perfect to store photos since this hard drive are optimized to hold heavy games without any slowness.
- I’d go with OWC Thuderbay4 to 8 drive bays. Raid 0 to 5 great for speed/redundancy.Thunerbolt 3 speed and daisy chain option. The best solution you can find which is not crazy expansive or just slow and noisy like synology
- I use a hard drive docking station with two Seagate Ironwolf Pro 4TB drives in it. It also has usb and SD card reader so I dont have to use any laptop space and can copy to two separate hard drives at once. Its a really time efficient process and relatively inexpensive!
- @Emily-Jayne Nolan its something like 90-150 mb/s vs 500-1000mb/s, a big difference if backing up for a client at the end of the day. I generally refuse to use Lacie drives if I'm running digi
- @Sam Royston ooh this is great to know!!
- Sandisk Extreme SSD - transfer speeds are way above and beyond Lacie rugged drives nowadays.
- For Me Lacie D2's - typically I buy what will serve for about a year - 4k video has massivly increased the size I need.
- Lacie usually, seagates okay too, Lacie is just a little bit more rugged than the seagate but same brand
- Has to be the LaCie rugged.
- LaCie 100%!
