What's the best way to manage an SEO & PPC agency?

Hi have a new PPC agency as of September. So far we have no results.

They have good systems and are punctual plus have made good suggestions but also made a targeting mistake that mean we targeted Ads gloabllay. They have re-imbursed me.

I'm a founder with no marketing team so managing this myself.

Also, should I expect them to manage and optimise landing pages or should I find another expert for that?

  • @Jason Leigh hey, yeah we are. Based on Leeds and Belfast. Would be great to chat further. Drop me an email at sam@brand-ambition.com and we can set up a zoom meeting.
  • @Sam Raife thanks for the detailed response Sam. Ye I think I’ve made the mistake of being on the their smallest clients. I am stating to wonder this too. Are you UK based ? May be worth talking further.
  • Hey Jason,

As owner of a digital marketing agency, if we aren’t performing after a couple of months on paid advertising we take consistent efforts to make changes until we get a result. Sometimes we just pull it because it might not be the right channel.

With a service like yours, it will depend on what you’re considering success (enquiries, sales, sign-ups, phone leads etc) but ultimately if the channel isn’t yielding results after a couple of months on a channel where you are paying for traffic, there are some serious targeting issues in my opinion.

Start with checking what they are measuring success on, so that your objectives are aligned.

Clearly I don’t have all the information or have clear sight of their strategy, but if they’ve been going since September and you’ve not seen any results I’d be wondering what you’re spending money on,

In terms of the landing pages, I’d expect to be either able to do this for you or work with your developers to sort something out. Either case I would expect it to be chargeable above the management agreement if it wasn’t agreed before hand.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers

    Sam
