What should a Graphic Design CV look like?
So this will be first time applying to graphic design jobs and I was wondering what my Cv/ resume should look like in order to even get the job. I was looking at some on Behance which were more design focused (aesthetics wise) and I’m a bit iffy on keeping it plain or showing my personality with it (of course keeping it professional).

- @June Mineyama-Smithson thank you so much for this advice. I will definitely think of this when remaking my cv
- Hi Adura,I am a graphic designer and lecturer and I tell my students to keep their CV clean. Demonstrate your grid, baseline, and information design skills. Then show off your personality a bit as well. But you've got to think about the person who is receiving your CV. Can they digest the information easily? Can they understand who you are at a glance?Good luck!
- @ɐɹoᗡ ɐuu∀ ˥ thank you for the advice will definitely need to reword my cv a bit.
- @Katja Alissa Mueller thank you you do will definitely need to change things around them.
- Hi Adura,Personally I prefer one pager CVs in landscape format: They are easiest to read on a screen. A clean design, with clear hierarchies and where I can easily see what you are doing etc is most useful. Too much design often distracts from the content. Feel free to get in touch and send your CV across, if I can help with any more specific feedback. Happy to help. k
- Hi Adura,I would say if you apply through websites as well fi. Linkedin for non design agency jobs keep it simple, nothing too fancy. A CV is a CV not your portfolio. It's not about aesthetic by the end of the day, it's about design and in case of design form should follow function. If you want to apply just for design agencies you can go a bit more fancy as long as it's honestly representing your style.
