Would love some feedback on how I could better brand, and market myself as photographer? https://www.instagram.com/meodphotography/

  • Loupe Magazine is a free photography magazine, there's always great work and insightful interviews featured. They have a section on their site where you can submit work so this could be worth bearing in mind if you have some work you would like to be featured! They also run shows to help emmerging photographers. http://loupemag.com/
  • Don't think of yourself as a photographer. That's a commodity positioning. Given the access everyone now has to image-making in their smartpohnes, you're just another maker unless you define yourself differently.

Eg. I do writing, speaking, consulting, advising but I am the HERDmeister because I'm on a mission to get everyone to understand and appreciate our social side.

What is that you do best? What is your signature work? What's your back story and what 's the compelling piece of that that shapes you? What's your mission? What change do you want to make in the industry or in how people see, make or share images?

Lots of answers to be found - you just have to be more than a photographer.
  • @Nadine Ivaskevicius developing style is somdething thst happens naturally I believe but I think it helps if you focus on a subject that you like. I think its a case of trying different techniques and methods and then focusing on the ones you shine at. I guess a little like an art foundation :)
  • @alexander forsey hi Alexander! I’m a beginner photographer and practicing iPhone photography for about 9 years. I feel it’s quite challenging to transition and studying my mirrorless camera but my biggest difficulty is the “unique style”. I have specific style I love in others’ people photography but I have not yet managed to stick to one particular myself. Do you think it’s a question of time, experience and practice or we can use some sort of system or tips to develop a specific vision? Thank you in advance for your insight!
  • take more pictures and be more brave with your work take some chances and experiment more. You want to be taking a lot of pictures every week and the better your pictures get the more people will want to work with you. Its all about developing a unique and strong style
