About me
My work combines creative design, innovation and technology within the performing arts and live events. I aim to use my interdisciplinary skills to build a career in theatre and live events fusing art and technology.
Projects
  • Americana!
Americana!I collaborated with Maria Vigar and John Ioannou to create visuals for the play “Americana!”. The play is inspired by true events, set in Greece at the end of WW2. It is performed by one actress therefore lighting and video projections are used to reflect the two characters and their separate scenes. In addition, I created a trailer as a part of promotional material.
  • Hear My Soul Speak - Video Projection Design
Hear My Soul Speak - Video Projection DesignI collaborated with Christopher Hurrell and Gerard McArthur to create video content for a theatrical adaptation of “The Tempest” by William Shakespeare. This piece explores the mind and persona of Shakespeare’s most enigmatic protagonist, Prospero, by investigating the dramatic ramifications of sound patterning in Shakespeare’s poetry—what Peter Brook has referred to as the “verbal music” – to expose the sonic portrait embedded in the play’s knotted, ornate and ethereal language. • Simple Misunderstanding
Simple MisunderstandingSimple Misunderstanding is an art installation that I created after winning the Mead Fellowship in 2016. My installation allows people to experience what it is like to be deaf, the impact it has and some of the barriers faced by people often caused by attitudes and assumptions. One of the aims is to challenge stereotypes around hearing loss. Through this experience, I hope to provoke thinking about deafness and generate an increased awareness of how deafness has an impact in day to day life
  • Second Space
Second SpaceSecond Space is a contemporary dance piece which utilises social media and an interactive installation exhibit using interactive technologies. These interactions with an audience build a library of digital choreography which is taught to a dancer. A performance will be created and influenced by the experience. This project is still currently in development with a performance in January.
  • Dot Line
Dot LineCollaborative project at Wimbledon, University of the Arts London. Created an installation based on the theme of Cosmos.
  • Real Time Interactive Technology with Dance using Microsoft Kinect
Real Time Interactive Technology with Dance using Microsoft KinectThis project studied and developed the use of interactive technology in dance with Rachel Johnson who was studying for the MA in Choreography at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Three visualisations were developed in openFrameworks using Microsoft Kinect to provide real time interactivity using Open Kinect and OpenNI drivers. A set of visualisation parameters were identified that could be adjusted by a choreographer using a graphical user interface to provide artistic control of
