An evening exploring new modes of listening. Meditate on music, unpack internet identities and learn how technology is pushing the boundaries of ASMR with creative computing artist and educator Jazmine Morris, sound engineer and ASMR researcher Clau Nader and artist Julie Rose Bower.

What to expect
ASMR has proved a surprising phenomenon, and its popularity is symbolic of the integral role digital culture plays in our lives. In a dedicated after-hours opening, our collaborators will explore what ASMR reveals about how we express ourselves, find intimacy, manage loneliness, and navigate mental health in the digital sphere.
Visitors will have exclusive access to the exhibition through a combined ticket offer, as well as enjoy discussions, and immersive experiences throughout the museum. There will be a screening of exclusive video content developed in collaboration with NOWNESS and Caring Whispers ASMR.
Explore our internet identities through conversations between artists, researchers and academics. Artist and sound designer Julie Rose Bower, featured in the exhibition, will discuss internet identities with creative computing lecturer Jazmin Morris. Researcher Clau Nader will share the potential mental health benefits of ASMR.
Refreshments will be available at the bar including soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and snacks.
