The latest in the Art Unlocked series. Join Art UK and Bruce Castle Museum in exploring selected artworks from their collection.
About this event
Art Unlocked is an online event series brought to you by Art UK in collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies. Each week, different museum and gallery curators and directors from across the UK will deliver a 30-minute talk on selected works from their collection.
For our latest talk, join Art UK and Deborah Hedgecock, Curator at Bruce Castle Museum, for an exciting exploration of some notable works from this collection on 31st August 2022, 5:30pm.
Art Unlocked is delivered over Zoom Webinar and can be accessed via the event page once you have registered. There will be a short Q&A session after the talk.
The talk is free but there is the option to donate to Bruce Castle Museum alongside your ticket. Any donations are much appreciated and go towards supporting the UK's national collection.
About Bruce Castle Museum
For over 115 years Bruce Castle Museum & Archive has been sharing the fascinating history of the area and communities of the London borough of Haringey. Housed in a magnificent 16th century manor house, it is a rich resource of heritage and creativity, telling stories of innovation, migration, radicalism and resilience. Collections of art, design, photography and craft span five centuries of creativeness, of national as well as local significance. Prominent artists include Lady Diana Beauclerk, Pre-Raphaelites Arthur and E. R. Hughes, Beatrice Offor, cultural design icon Althea McNish, Hornsey College of Art alumni and teachers and contemporary works by Sadie Lee, Ingrid Pollard and Al Johnson.
