Organised by Art UK

Art Unlocked is a new online event series brought to you by Art UK in collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies. Each week, different museum and gallery curators and directors from across the UK will deliver a 30-minute talk on selected works from their collection.

For our latest talk, join Art UK and Chantal Condron, Curator of Public Engagement at the Government Art Collection, for an exciting exploration of some notable works from this collection on 8th December 2021, 5:30pm.

Art Unlocked is delivered over Zoom Webinar and can be accessed via the event page once you have registered. There will be a short Q&A session after the talk.

The talk is free but there is the option to donate to Art UK alongside your ticket. Any donations are much appreciated and go towards supporting the UK's national collection.

About the Government Art Collection

The GAC promotes British art through displays in UK Government buildings worldwide. It is the most widely distributed collection of British art, with displays in 129 countries. Sharing the history and values of the UK, the Collection makes an important contribution to cultural diplomacy by showcasing the work of artists in Britain from the 16th to the 21st centuries. New acquisitions continually develop the diversity of representation within the Collection to reflect contemporary British society.

About Art UK

Art UK is a cultural education charity on a mission to make the art in UK public collections accessible to everyone – for enjoyment, learning and research.

We are bringing together the nation's art on one platform for the world to see. We digitise artworks, tell the stories behind the art and create exciting opportunities for public interaction with art. We play a major role in supporting public art collections, by improving their accessibility and sustainability.
