Are you a young person aged 18-25 and want to work in film, TV, live streaming or making online video? Welcome to a programme that breaks down barriers to entry and unlocks opportunity.
This seven-week intensive course in Live TV Broadcast and Film will give you the skills you need to progress in the industry.
The Roundhouse is one of the few venues in the UK with an in-house broadcast facility, bringing our exciting live arts and music programme to screens across the world, crewed by young graduates of our renowned intensive training programme in film and live broadcasting. Our facilities and professional networks provide the means to help young people gain the necessary experience to start a career in the wider screen industries.
Across seven weeks you will be given training and hands-on experience in film production, camera operating, post production, live editing and mixing, through intensive workshops, guest masterclasses and working on productions at the Roundhouse. You will learn the fundamentals of film-making and how a live show is brought to the screen, gaining experience in the production and technical job roles involved.
We’ll wrap up the programme by showing you the next steps for starting a career in film and/or live TV and streaming.
Who will be teaching the project?
An experienced broadcast director with guest professional filmmakers and technicians supported by staff from the Roundhouse Broadcast & Digital team.

Teaching days:
All days at 10:30am – 5.00pm apart from in Week 6 where there will be some evening work.
