Black Girl Fest x Pinterest presents: Our Stories of Joy

We’re excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Pinterest UK to host an evening exploring Black joy and wellness within the Black lgbtq+ community.

On Thursday 21st Oct we welcome Black women, cis, trans, queer and non-binary people for an evening of conversations and workshops around the theme JOY and WELLNESS.

______

6.00 - 7.00 pm

Navigating your pathway to wellness as a Black Woman, Cis, Trans, Queer or Non-Binary person from the LGBTQ+ community

A panel discussion for Black women, cis, trans, queer and non-binary people from the lgbtq+ community sharing stories of managing & overcoming low mental health, reclaiming joy and navigating their pathway to wellness.

Hear from our host Rose Reveur and speakers Aisha Shaibu, Sakeema Peng Crook and Timi Sotire as they share their highs, their lows and how they cultivate joy in their lives.

7.30 - 8.30pm

Self-care session

Meditation workshop for Black women, cis, trans, queer and non-binary people from the lgbtq+ community hosted by Our Naked Truths founder Jocelyn Yeboah-Newton exploring themes of self-love, self-compassion and self-alignment.

THESE EVENTS ARE FREE TO ATTEND!

In addition, we are supporting The Black Trans Foundation, a Black trans-led non profit organisation offering free therapy to Black trans & NB people aged 16+.

We invite all attendees to make an optional donation to The Black Trans Foundation

Please note:

As the venue is limited capacity we're prioritising Black women, cis, trans, queer and non-binary people from the lgbtq+ community

The venue is wheelchair accessible, if you need any additional needs, please contact Black Girl Fest directly.
