Born in Northern Ireland, Rodney Orpheus created electrorock band The Cassandra Complex, going on to set up his own recording studio in Hamburg and live in California. He has worked with many of the leading companies in the music technology industry, most notably with WholeWorldBand, PreSonus, Steinberg, and DTS, as well as writing a regular monthly column for Computer Music magazine. He has also lectured at colleges and music business events.

Rodney believes when you use a computer, you’re using your imagination to manipulate the computer’s reality. It’s sorcery, changing the plastic quality of nature on a nuts-and-bolts level. “Magickal techniques that date back hundreds of years are totally valid in a cyberpunk age.” Join Rodney for a discussion into his cyberpunk activities and how his ever evolving work weaves in elements of EBM, industrial, goth rock, new wave and synthpop.

Join us from 6pm for alcohol-free drinks, snacks and creative networking.
Talk starts at 7pm.
See you there.
