Insider stories from product people.

Since 2011, our award-winning event has been welcoming makers from all over the country to hear some of the brightest minds in the industry share their experiences designing, building and optimising digital products.

This year, Canvas turns 10, and we're celebrating in style!

The future of product teams
More and more companies are transforming their operations to focus on the customer and product teams are central to this transformation.

This year, our speakers will share their experiences building powerful product teams and their thoughts on what the future holds. From development frameworks and operating models, to managing stakeholders and establishing a culture of innovation, expect to hear real life examples and actionable insights from an amazing lineup of speakers.

Beyond the work, we'll be looking at how product teams can support each other to be the best they can be, covering team structures, communication techniques and soft skills.

Another stellar lineup
We're delighted to welcome some of the most influential minds in digital product from across the globe to take the stage at Canvas X.

Our speakers lead by example, not just by job title. No sales pitches. No corporate evangelists. Just real life stories from people creating world-class digital experiences, with practical insights and advice you can take back into your day to day work.

Here's our speaker line up so far, with more to be announced soon...

Vuokko Aro, Design Director at Monzo
Vuokko leads design across Monzo’s customer-facing surfaces: personal banking, business banking, and brand & card design.

Over the past four years, she’s worked to scale the team and its culture through phases of hypergrowth while leading designers to create a high-quality, user-centric product that creates revenue. Before Monzo, Vuokko worked as a Product Designer in startups across London and NYC.

Ben Francis, Founder at Gymshark
Ben founded Gymshark when he was 19 years old, while still a student at Aston University. In addition to his full-time commitment to his studies, Ben juggled working as a pizza delivery man to fund his Gymshark venture.

Ben made the decision to step down as CEO in 2017, to allow him to continue to focus on the things that have always set Gymshark apart - innovative design, creative content and consumer first thinking.

In August 2020, Gymshark became the first DTC brand in the UK to achieve Unicorn status with no external capital funding. The recent investment partnership with General Atlantic will see Gymshark become a true global brand.

Seb Mills, Digital Product Director at Gymshark
During his first five years at Gymshark, Seb esablished and lead the tech function. More recently he has moved to focus on all things digital and product related.

Seb is responsible for looking after the what, when and why of Gymshark’s digital landscape. The ever-expanding product team is made up of Product Managers, Analysts, Designers, Researchers and Content Managers.

Jo Wickremasinghe, VP Product at Zoopla
Jo has led a number of product teams at News UK, Microsoft, the BBC and Babylon Health. Born and raised in Australia, Jo started her career as an Aerospace Engineer, moving to the UK in 1998.

In 2000 she got into tech, joining MSN during the first dotcom bubble. She is currently VP of Product at Zoopla, helping to drive enterprise growth and radically improve the consumer and customer experiences of property.
