Discover craft and digital techniques to upcycle your old garments into a one-of-a-kind Christmas jumper
Join artist and researcher Emilie Giles for this beginner-friendly e-textile workshop where you will learn how to upcycle a jumper by adding craft and simple electronics to your design. We will explore how to make a garment interactive and how to add light-up elements to make your item the perfect piece of Christmas cheer! No previous experience or digital skills are needed as the workshop will focus on sewing as the crafting technique. We will also be providing inspiration with fabric, lights and patterns for your designs. Please bring an old jumper with you. All other materials and a mince pie will be provided…
